3D Printing Service Terms
Special terms for the 3D printing service on customer files · Last updated: 27 July 2026
1. Provider identity
The three-dimensional printing service is provided by:
PORK-CHOP EXPRESS SRL
- Registered office: Via Aldo Moro 75, 48014 Castel Bolognese (RA), Italy
- Tax code and VAT number: 02782250399
- REA: RA-256466
- Certified email (PEC): porkchopexpress@legalmail.it
hereinafter also referred to as the “Company”.
2. Subject of the service
The Company provides an additive manufacturing and three-dimensional printing service based on digital files, models, drawings, specifications and instructions uploaded or transmitted by the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Company acts solely as the material executor of the requested print and does not carry out:
- engineering design or validation of the model;
- patent or legal review;
- product certification;
- functional or structural testing;
- verification of the object’s suitability for a specific use;
- prior verification of ownership of the rights in the model.
Any automatic or manual operations on the file, such as orientation, resizing, mesh repair, support generation, slicing or adjustments strictly necessary for printing, do not constitute design, technical validation or approval of the object.
3. Customer declarations regarding uploaded files
By uploading the file and submitting the order, the customer declares and warrants:
- to be the author, owner or lawful licensee of the model, or to have obtained from the rights holder every authorization necessary for its reproduction by means of 3D printing;
- that the production of the object does not infringe third-party rights, including, by way of example:
- copyright and related rights;
- patents and utility models;
- registered or unregistered designs and models;
- trademarks, logos, trade names and distinctive signs;
- rights to image, name and personality;
- trade secrets, confidential information or confidentiality agreements;
- that any license relating to the model allows not only possession of the digital file, but also its physical reproduction through 3D printing;
- that, where the object is intended for sale, distribution or commercial use, the license held expressly permits such use as well;
- that the model, the requested object and its use comply with applicable law.
The Company acquires no ownership rights over the model uploaded by the customer.
4. Limited technical license
The customer grants the Company, for the time strictly necessary to handle the quote and the order, a non-exclusive, free and limited license to:
- open and analyze the file;
- view it;
- convert or technically repair it;
- perform slicing;
- reproduce it by means of 3D printing;
- carry out quality checks;
- produce any copies needed to fulfil the order;
- transmit it to employees, collaborators or subcontractors bound by confidentiality, where necessary for processing.
This license does not authorize the Company to sell, publish, distribute or independently reuse the model for purposes other than performing the service, save for the customer’s express consent or a legal obligation.
5. Prohibited content and objects
It is prohibited to use the service to request the production of objects or components that:
- are illegal or intended for the commission of crimes;
- infringe intellectual or industrial property rights;
- are counterfeit or unlawfully bear trademarks, logos, certifications or distinctive signs;
- constitute weapons, functional parts of weapons, ammunition, explosives or offensive devices;
- are intended to bypass locks, security devices or protection systems;
- are intended for the forgery of currency, documents, seals, plates or certifications;
- contain unlawful, discriminatory material or material harmful to the dignity of others;
- are subject to authorizations, licenses or certifications not held by the customer.
Except with the Company’s prior written acceptance, components intended for the following uses are also not permitted:
- medical, dental or prosthetic;
- food-related or in contact with food;
- for toys or items intended for children;
- safety-related electrical or electronic;
- automotive, aeronautical, railway or nautical;
- structural, load-bearing or subject to loads;
- for personal protective equipment;
- for gas, pressure, lifting or fire-fighting systems;
- in which a failure could cause injury, death or significant damage.
6. Right to verify, refuse and suspend
The Company may, at its sole discretion and without this constituting acknowledgment of a general obligation to monitor:
- examine the file or request further information;
- request proof of ownership or license;
- suspend processing;
- refuse or cancel the order;
- delete the file;
- inform the competent authorities where required by law.
Failure to object or the completion of the order does not constitute confirmation of the lawfulness of the model, recognition of the customer’s rights or certification of the object.
In case of reasonable doubt, the Company may request documentation from the customer attesting authorization to print.
7. Design responsibility and model characteristics
The customer is responsible for:
- the geometry of the model;
- the stated dimensions;
- wall thicknesses;
- tolerances and fittings;
- the presence of closed, printable geometries;
- mechanical strength;
- stability;
- functioning;
- the selected material;
- the suitability of the model for the intended use;
- any required certifications.
The Company does not warrant that a technically printable model is also safe, functional, resistant or suitable for the purpose pursued by the customer.
3D printing processes involve dimensional tolerances, layer lines, surface variations, shrinkage, deformation and color differences inherent to the technology and material used. Such characteristics do not constitute a defect when they fall within the tolerances and specifications communicated or reasonably inherent to the chosen process.
8. End use of the object
The customer assumes responsibility for the choice, installation, assembly, testing, maintenance and end use of the object.
The customer undertakes to:
- inspect the object before use;
- not subject it to loads, temperatures, substances or conditions incompatible with the material;
- not use it as a safety component without specific validation;
- obtain any certifications, authorizations and approvals;
- provide any end users with adequate instructions and warnings;
- not change the declared intended use without a new assessment.
The Company is not liable for damages arising from uses other than those expressly communicated and accepted, from incorrect assembly, subsequent modifications, wear, improper use or the customer’s failure to test.
The mandatory liabilities provided for by law remain unaffected in any case.
9. Intellectual property claims
Anyone who believes that a model uploaded through the service infringes their right may send a report containing:
- identifying details and contact information;
- a description of the allegedly infringed right;
- documentation of ownership;
- precise identification of the model or the order;
- a statement of good faith;
- a request for removal or suspension.
Reports may be sent to:
- Certified email (PEC): porkchopexpress@legalmail.it
- Dedicated email: info@3djungle.io
The Company may suspend processing until the claim is resolved.
10. Customer indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, the customer undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its directors, employees, collaborators and subcontractors from claims, disputes, damages, penalties, reasonable costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from:
- breach of the declarations made by the customer;
- infringement of third-party rights;
- the unlawfulness of the file or the object;
- the intended use chosen by the customer;
- the commercialization of the object by the customer;
- improper or unauthorized use of the object;
- failure to obtain licenses, authorizations or certifications.
The indemnity does not apply to damages directly attributable to wilful misconduct, gross negligence, breach of mandatory obligations or manufacturing defects attributable to the Company.
11. Limitation of liability
In dealings with professional customers and to the extent permitted by law, the Company is liable exclusively for direct and foreseeable damages arising from the incorrect material execution of the processing compared with the specifications of the accepted order.
Save for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or a different mandatory provision, the following are excluded:
- loss of profit;
- loss of production;
- loss of business opportunities;
- indirect or consequential damages;
- costs arising from the use of the object in more complex systems or products;
- damages arising from errors present in the customer’s file.
This clause does not limit the mandatory rights granted to consumers, nor liability for personal injury or for defective products in the cases provided by law.
12. Files, confidentiality and retention
Files are processed exclusively to:
- prepare the quote;
- fulfil the order;
- provide assistance;
- handle complaints and disputes;
- comply with legal obligations.
Save for technical needs, legal obligations, disputes or different consent, files will be deleted within 30 days of delivery or of the last contact relating to the quote.
The processing of personal data is described in the separate GDPR-compliant privacy policy.
13. Withdrawal and customized products
Objects produced on the basis of the customer’s individual files, dimensions, materials or specifications are goods made to order and clearly personalized.
Where the legal conditions apply, the right of withdrawal for a mere change of mind is therefore excluded.
The following remain unchanged:
- the right to receive goods conforming to the order;
- the applicable legal warranty;
- the remedies available in the event of a defective, damaged or non-conforming product.
The exception to withdrawal for goods produced to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized is provided for by European and Italian law; it does not, however, eliminate the legal warranty of conformity.
14. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law.
For customers acting as consumers, the mandatory jurisdiction provided by consumer protection law remains applicable.
For professional customers, unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Court of Ravenna shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
